| Remarks | Coal canyon, a ghost town northeast of Morton, is located in central Lewis County. In 1911 the town was founded by Gustaf Lindberg of Tacoma who built a shingle mill, sawmill and logging camp. In 1917, he added a store, schoolhouse and 15 brick houses. In 1918 it was burned, rebuilt and renamed Lindberg. Lindberg lost his ownership through financial reverses and the name ws changed to Millberg for the new owner. Later the name was changed to the present designation by local influence. In addition to these three names the location was called Glenavon originally by officials of Tacoma & Eastern Railway.
