| Biography | Founded in 1979, Tacoma Lesbian Concern (TLC) originated as a discussion group for
lesbians in Tacoma which sought to establish an educational forum and safe place for socializing.
A newsletter for the group was started in that same year to publicize upcoming TLC events
Among the social events organized by TLC included an annual dance, Winter Retreat, camping
trips, picnics, Halloween parties, and occasional trips to Seattle, the Columbia Gorge, and other locations. |
