Full DescriptionA rectangular piece of coal in a wagon is on display in the middle of Pacific Avenue in Tacoma before the arrival of President Harrison in May, 1891. A sign behind the wagon reads, We Can Warm the World on Coal. A group of men stand on either side of the wagon in front of S.J. Holland's and Murray's Drug Store.
InscriptionPrinted at the top: "State of Washington Views". Printed at the bottom: "Roslyn Coal, Photographed by Rutter May 6th, 1891. Tacoma's / Greeting President Harrison with Washington Products/ Length 17 ft. 9 in., Width 54 in, Thickness 34 in. high / Weight 16, 600 lbs. A Two Foot Rule Lays on Top of the Coal".
