DescriptionSplit cedar-root and bear-grass woven basket by Nettie Jackson-Kuneki, embellished with traditional spiritual and familial motifs. Kuneki lives on the Yakima Reservation and is descended from the Klickitat Tribe, today part of the Yakima confederation. She comes from a long line of traditional basket weavers, and has taught her skills to other women of the Confederation. Ms. Kuneki is the co-author of a book on Klickitat basket weaving.
