This collection consists of a group of drawings made by Roger Cooke to recreate events that occurred during the Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1805-1806. The drawings were made as illustrations to be used on wayside markers erected along the Washington State section of the Lewis and Clark Trail. The markers were installed as part of the celebration of the expedition's bicentennial in 2005-2006. Many of the image titles are quotations taken directly from the expedition journals.
